Alta Vista Elementary School Reviews
From my experience: This school doesn't care about the safety or well being of the children that attend this school. The front office stated they were going to call my children (1st and 2nd grader) to the front office to go to the afterschool program because of early release but instead let my children walk home. I did not receive a phone call and was not aware until an hour after dismissal. I had to leave work and go pick my children up at home and take them to their aunt house because of lack of communication within the school. I talked to the school several times that morning to make sure my children were going to be directed to the after school program. Office staff stated they would call the boys to the front office to insure their redirected to the after school program. This school neglected their responsibility of ensuring safety at school. Parents can't go to work and feel comfortable that their child is being cared for or safe while at school because of schools like this! Good luck enrolling your child in this school and my advice is never trust the front office always have a backup plan. (Edited for content by Education.com staff.)
i was not happy with this school..first thing they did a dental exam on her with out my permission and filled 4 teeth ..i never filled out the paper work they dident tell me what they did either..my child also had a bully pushing her around along with another child ..the principle dident do very much to stop it the child still contuined..i pulled the kids out and they are doing so much better in another school..it was a bad expierence..
