About the TERRANOVA
What is it?
The TerraNova is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 2 through 9 are assessed in reading, language arts and math.

Students receive a percentile rank, which indicates how well they performed in comparison to their peers in other states. The goal is for all students to score at or above the national average, or 50th percentile, on the test.

Milestones Charter School
My three children have attended over many years and unfortunately
the quality of education has diminished. They accept too much late
work, don't hold the students accountable, and tend to ignore
discipline issues. Middle school does not prepare them for high
school. They do not expect the best from students and set the bar
too low. Great for little ones only.

Milestones Charter School
All three of my children have attended Milestones over several years.
Unfortunately, thru the years the quality of education has decreased.
The children are not challenged, and there is a lack of discipline
(especially in the middle school area. The bar is not set high enough
and mediocre work is always accepted. Would not recommend it
for older children.

J. Rudolph: My two daughters have been going to Milestones for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier. The administration is top notch! The faculty is considered family, showing heart in everything they do. The Principal knows the name of each and every student and she actively involves herself every day in the morning rituals, classrooms, and even play time. They have great diversity in their programs and approaches, and really strive to offer our children a well rounded learning experience in academics, personal harmony, and community! A few of the little things that I really enjoy the most...1) each morning, students of all grades, gathers to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing America the Beautiful together. What a way to encourage national pride and togetherness. 2) They've included two blocks of yoga per week, teaching students focus, self awareness, and another form of physical fitness. Last but not least, 3)as part of their science and community projects, they have a garden that each student gets to plant in. This is a school that is simply creative, insightful and inviting to it's students, making Milestones easily the best school in the valley!

Milestones Charter School
Milestones is a wonderful school. I have found that the teacher turn over is great and that once the student reaches 7th grade the teachers seem unequipped to prepare the student for high school. I would highly recommend Milestones up to 6th grade but not for Middle School.
