School Mission Statement
CEE (The Center for Educational Excellence) is an accredited public charter school serving students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth. Our facility is conveniently located in Tempe, Arizona, just minutes away from both the 101 and I-10 freeways. From school field trips to monthly town hall meetings, our mission is to create an atmosphere that is unprecedented in education. Our curriculum is comprised of both nationally recognized curriculum materials as well as supplemental resources that provide enhanced learning opportunities for our students.
CEE has been designated as an Excelling School by the Arizona Department of Education for seven consecutive years. The CEE community is dedicated to academic achievement, intellectual growth and character development, and accomplishes this mission by creating a safe and positive environment that allows each student to progress at his or her own pace.

About the TERRANOVA
What is it?
The TerraNova is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 2 through 9 are assessed in reading, language arts and math.
How is it Scored?
Students receive a percentile rank, which indicates how well they performed in comparison to their peers in other states. The goal is for all students to score at or above the national average, or 50th percentile, on the test.

What is it?
Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in reading, writing and math.
How is it Scored?
Students score at one of four levels: falls far below standard, approaches the standard, meets the standard or exceeds the standard. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards.
