About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Academy Del Sol Reviews
I thought Academy Del Sol would be a great place for TUSD transplants but it is more of the same as far as poor/no communication to parents and unilateral decision-making by the principal. The kids are taught manners and it seems the teachers need to attend those lessons. I feel sorry for the people who work in the office and have to field all the complaints.
This school is only for smart kids. If you child is not smart don't bother sending them over. He or she will be pushed aside asking for a teacher for a conference would be impossible, brush off heaven.
I had a hard time because my work was to easy but the grade hire was to hard
The school itself is a great learning center. The administration is understanding of family situations and unique children. One teacher is not. She wouldn't work with my child when she was having a hard time adjusting. My child was constantly in lunch detention for talking in class, but a kid that was bullying her was praised as a good kid. Not fair.
