About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Hermosa Montessori Charter School Reviews
I was VERY dissapointed in the education my child recieved in the First and second grade. If your child is NOT the typical Montessori student ie. VERY INDEPENDENT, VERY SELF Directed than this school is not for your child. In addition the school has mostly family working there so there is not a lot of innovation or thinking outside the box that could enhance a childs learning it is more about keeping the principals ego intact. The school does NOT foster community which I believe is another huge hole. Lastley the BIGGEST DOWNFALL and a detrement to the students learning environment is the large class size and the minimal face time each student recieves from the Teachers. THIS school has enlisted a very non communicative style so if you want feedback or just to understand how your child is doing or what they are doing this again is NOT the right choice.
