About the CST
What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of five ratings: far below basic, below basic, basic, proficient or advanced. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
About the CAHSEE
What is it?
The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is used to measure student mastery of specific skills as determined by the state. Students must pass both sections of the exam in order to graduate from high school.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Each student is assessed in grade 10 in English language arts and math. Students can retake the exam up to five times after grade 10.
How is it Scored?
The CAHSEE is an untimed pass/fail test. The goal is for all students to pass both sections of the test.

they don't tech well or give you no time for class all of the class are two hours long but the outside look nice but the inside look bad teacher and staff are rude and dispespectfull i hope they change the hours at 2:59 to get out of class and no advisory class their dome and in arleta they have bad teacher and i hope that lausd well come check everthing or well be shut down

I am a former student at Arleta High school, I ended up there by mistake. I was suposed to go to Poly high school, but I was blessed to have gotten enrolled there I entered Arleta as a 10th grader since I was home schooled for my 9th grade year. Every student that attends Arleta will tell you that the school offers a sense of fellowship and a huge amount of pride that is felt all around you. The staff is just incriedible, as well strict. Which means students are in a secure enviorment through out the day. Students there are required to sever the community in order to earn the right to graduate on stage. I was in the Varsity Football Team, Track and Field, Choir, Theater, Play Production, and Tech Crew. Hows that for pride? Class of 2011 "The Favorites" Fight on Mustangs! Woot woot!

Morgen Calderhead: The school is really crappy. Crowded halls, water bottles on staircases, a fire hazard, too small for all those leaches. Test scores are really bad. Students are disrespectful and don't do work. I got got my daughter out of this school. Nice on the outside but NOT on the inside.
