I was initially concerned about my grand daughter's fears and learning ability before getting into kindergarten at Selby Lane. She was assigned to Mrs. Metro's class and I was pleasantly surprised of the amazing progress my grand daughter made with her. Mrs. Metro is one of a kind, great teacher and a wonderful person.

Selby Lane is a wonderful school in a beautiful neighborhood. The facility is very clean and has great playgrounds. Ms. Williams the Principal runs a really tight ship and does a great job of maintaining control in a large school with a huge age range! Our son is in kindergarten at the school and has had a wonderful experience in Ms. Ford's class - she's an amazing teacher who is warm and encouraging while still making sure everyone follows the rules and has a chance to learn. The children in my son's class came to school with a broad range of skills. Some knew their letters, numbers, shapes and colors cold and were ready to start reading. Others are still working on mastering those core skills. We've felt the need to augment the class curriculum at home to keep our son challenged.
Unfortunately there is not a lot of parent involvement which makes it hard for the school to do things like field trips, plays by the children, etc.
