Charles Armstrong School Reviews

There are a limited number of schools in the Bay Area that serve children with dyslexia.  Charles Armstrong School is absolutely the best fit for our son.  Although it is a commuter school with children attending from all over the Bay Area, the school manages to build a sense of community.  Our decision to send our son to Charles Armstrong School for 4th grade has been life altering for him.  He now feels successful, proud and  eager to go to school.  He is amongst his true peers and is finally thriving the way he should have all along.  The Charles Armstrong School's teachers are masters at the art of teaching children with dyslexia.

Our 11 year old grandson has been attending Charles Armstrong since he was 7. The entire school has been such a positive experience for him and us. The staff support is above and beyond what we got in the public school. The teachers have worked with our grandson and us to help him overcome his learning difficulties. Thekids are really great and very much individuals. The CAPSO group provides atight link with the school for the parents. We are a real team working towards our goal of maximizing our kids skills and abilities.

Charles Armstrong is great at caring about the child as a "whole", not just academics.

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
