El Rodeo is still stuck in the old 1950's way of teaching. My son had learning difficulties and they refused to test him for years. Because of this he didn't learn to read till 3rd grade when a veteran teacher realized he needed an IEP immediately and fought for him to get it. As a parent I feel I have no voice in this school. The teachers are hit or miss. Some are amazing, some are a nightmare. They don't understand different learning styles and flexing to how best a child assimilates information. And God forbid your kid needs to see the nurse...they don't have one...they hire "assistants" who have no idea what they are doing and have you leave work to pick up your kid when all they really have is anxiety about the school work and needed some TLC. El Rodeo needs to step it up and bring some humanity to their curriculum.
