Alice C. Stelle Middle School Reviews
ACS is a good school for sixth and seventh grade. The teachers for the most part are kind and caring and want to see the students succeed. I was disappointed with eighth grade teachers. The social studies department was awful. Rigid and noninspiring. Old school philosophy towards education. Math dept was OK. Rushed through too many assignments because the material had to be covered. Too many math teachers out and too many subs. English was torture. One teacher was outstanding but only taught a few 8th grade classes. My child got stuck with the other teacher who was teaching like it was the 1950s and did not like kids. Loved Mr. Beutel in science. The PE teacher had huge classes which may account for her lackluster attitude. On the good side, the campus is beautiful and well maintained. For parents considering this school, my family liked sixth and seventh grade. If I had known how bad eighth would be, I would have enrolled my child in another school
