Ruth Glass: As the new Head of School, I was most attracted by the quality and dedication of the teachers and the natural ways in which our extensive campus plays into our program.  Students, K-8, interact with each other and with adults in a genuine and supportive way.  Parents consistently tell me that their children are happy to go to school.  Calmont has the tools and numbers to  provide an education that is attentive to the individuality of each student.  Our academic program prepares students well for the future by building on their interests now.  We are able to blend traditional and new pedagogies that hook children's imaginations and keep them connected.  Our campus provides a rare opportunity for exploration within safe boundaries. We understand the importance of a healthy partnership between home and school, and communication between the two is regular.
