It is a decent school, but schools like Chaminade in the San Fernando Valley are better. Mrs. Kerry Skoczylas, one of our two Algebra 1 teachers, is my teacher. She is great and is certainly a driving force of our great algebra scores. However, my English and science teachers lack some grammar skills. My history teacher is great, though. He has given us techniques to teach ourselves using standards if we have bad teachers later on. The P.E. Program is outstanding, as we have a FITNESS CENTER! My P.E. Teacher, Mr. George Velarde, is the person who sparked our great P.E. Program, which includes grading based on heart rate, not predicted effort.

Joseph Herzog: I recently visited Sierra Vista to look at their physical education program. I have been all over the country and I've never seen anything as grand as what I saw here. It is a modern, 21st century, age appropriate, standards based, technology infused program that actually benefits kids. It is a leader in the fight against childhood obesity. George Velarde and his staff and the administration all the way up to the superintendent are to be congratulated.

Sierra Vista is an amazing school With a staff like the one at SV it's hard not to get what you need, it's also very diffucult to be unhappy. SV is truly the best school in the valled, there is such my support provided by both students and staff. SV is like one big happy family.

The best school in the Santa Clarita Valley. Kids are well discipline. I'm surprised with my child how she changed after joining this school. Before, I had to force her to finish her homework or read a book. But, after joining this school when I come home from a busy day at work, homework is done I just correct her work, projects are finished weeks before due date. We would recommend this school to friends and family anyday.
