Carson Montessori Academy

Four years ago my daughter received a terrible, quarter-sized scar on her forehead from being knocked onto the school's asphalt grounds from its elevated playground. At the time there was a crush of kids and absolutely NO supervision. We received a form sheet (daughter given "Bactine and TLC") and no apology of any kind, no word of explanation. To this day, despite at least a dozen attempts to have the school install rubber padding to cushion these INEVITABLE falls from their raised playground, they refuse to be bothered. Now my daughter gets called scarface. There aren't words to express my contempt for this school and its management.

I attended this school and I have now sent my children to the school.  I always felt that I received an excellent education from Carson Montessori Academy.  My children really enjoy the materials that are used and have excelled in their work.  I recommend the school to my friends and co-workers.

Cheryl: The administrator of the school is hardly there.  When I asked the teacher how my child was doing, she said that she is not going to focus on anything academic for my child because she knows it already.  Instead of challenging my child in other areas, the teacher chose not to.  This isn't a regular montessori school.  They may use the montessori method sometimes but it's not entirely used.  Basically, the teachers are not trained to understand early childhood development enough.
