My son has been attending since July 2010. He has an IEP, high functioning autism. The principal is a very kind person who is always willing to help. HOWEVER, the Kindergarten teachers are MOSTLY NOT receptive to having children with an IEP in their class. The special Education teacher Mrs. Terres is an exceptional teacher who is bright and willing to assist in any way. She is a regular at all PTC meetings. I have never seen a kindergarten teacher attend. They teachers say that my student "makes their job SOOO much harder" yet they do NOT attend district training for teachers who deal with autistic children. The district is trying to mainstream all high functioning autistic children, yet they do NOT require training for these teachers. One teacher told me that they "dont WANT to learn how to deal with these children! It is to much WORK" please conider this review if you have a child with special needs, also, the OT does not spend the time required each session, It seems like the School staff would rather not have your child attend if they are not "perfect" or need ANY extra help.

If your looking for no care (minimal supervision) for you child during recess, lunch this would be the place and forget about "talking" or "notifying" staff, they shrug it off! Excuses as we all know what it is! Oh and as far as fundraisers for the children, you will never see it, as said "where's the equipment?" for at the least 60+ students esp. during lunch recess, no wonder the kids get in eachothers face, oh and lets not forget your child eats outside whether on hot or cold days while staff are inside, and you wonder why your child is sick!

Rosebank Elementary has a very involved Principle that really extends his help and time to the students and teachers needs. Being a volunteer I have seen it is more like the "Rose Bank Elementary Family."
