In 2010, the Compton Unified School District spent $10,596 per student. In 2010 the district spent 58% on instruction, 38% on support services, and 4% on other services.
My favorite teacher was Mr. Youngblood that was always there to encourage me and he was always willing to help and has being a good listener. I had support from the staff that helped me with the senior requirements and passed both CAHSEE parts in 10th grade. I was pregnant when I was an 11th grader by my senior year I was a single parent. Techers like Mr. Cabanillas, Mr. Tacapan, Mr. Youngblood and Mrs. Gomez were there to help me move forward. I personally think that is mostly to the students to want to succeed. Itsup to your kids to be self-motivated. The library is open before&after school, there is no excuse to be unsuccessful. (Sanchez, Adriana:: Class of 09!!)
