Mariners Christian School Reviews
Good school but community is lacking
The teachers are fabulous, and the teaching is great. Unfortunately, we were hoping that because it is a "Christian" school that it would reinforce the character of our kids, which we find equally important to academics. There is very little Christianity happening with the parents here, which trickles down to many of the children. I guess you would only know that when you are on the lower income level of the attendees and have a child who is not popular. I believe that the character my child is learning is perseverence because he is having to put up with a lot of cliques, economic diversity and judgement by the other students. Someone at this school really needs to start paying attention.
My child spent four long years at MCS we arrived just as they were named Blue Ribbon School. We were shocked by the bullying and the lack of care or concern for our child, just lip service from the administration. We had a first grade teacher who was wicked and cruel to our child and several other students. Blue ribbon maybe years ago but certainly not now. Not loving or nurturing. Beware they will never move a child out of a class so you are force to leave the school to give your child a fresh start.
