Culver City Middle School Reviews
I'd like to start off with saying I would not recommend this school. Other than academics, which are average, I would like to explain my year at CCMS.
The first week of school for me was rough, I made absolutly NO friends and I am a very bubbly, outgoing, loud, crazy person. When every I approached someone they'd act really rude and avoid me. I tryed to speak with my counseler about it but they didn't seem to care. Teachers hardly remembered my name by the end of the third week and I still had no friends. I would spend the lunch sitting in the hall reading a book or helping some random lunch lady at the cafateria. By the next monthes the people ignoring me started giving me attention, but not the good kind. I tryed to ignore them but its hard when the only words spoken to you are "Fag" or "Your gay" or something that really bothers you. CCMS is way too densly populated. By the near end of the year I ended up being beat up by GIRLS on the blacktop. I told the principal but guess what they did?? Not much... Well, now I've left Culver Middle friendless and a little heart broken.. I now go to a small charter school, Magnolia science academy 6. Its an amazing school and I get to be the amazing person I want to be. I have a billion friends here and have them come over on the weekends. I hope I never have to see the face of CCMS again.
If you ask me Culver City Middle School is wonderful and welcoming! You will love it. As a present student I felt like I was walking through my regular school!
New Comers: Its very easy to make friends here! Just find someone you think you will be able to be good friends with! Just talk to them with simple things like "Hi" "I like your shoes" or whatever. Your teacher even may assign you to sit in groups or she/he will make you do social activities! My teacher did that..And also if you have friends going to CCMS and you wanna be in classes with them, talk to your counselor before school starts (school counselor) (since they make your schedules and assign you to random classes and etc) and ask them to put you in the same classes as your friend. I hope you go to CCMS and have a great year!
Parents: CCMS is marvelous! Your child get and recieves indivial attention and help from their teacher. School supplies are just everyday items you have at home (1 binder, 2 pencils, a pencil case, an eraser, loose leaf lined paper and a black or blue ink pen). CCMS is a safe school they have high hard working security guards, a closed gate school with hidden security cameras! and much more). I hope you send your child to CCMS! I also hope you have a great year.
PS: :) Smile!
