Robert C. Cawthon Elementary School

I am a grandmother to my daughter's daughter. She is 9 years old and is attending Cawthon. Both of my children attended Cawthon, also, so we have 2 generations who have attended the school. I feel Cawthon is one of the best schools in Cypress! The teachers are fantastic (they always stress communication between school and home), it is culturally diverse which I feel is a positive. Students learn to appreciate others who might not be exactly like themselves but find out that everyone really wants the same thing...a good education.

There are plenty of outside activities that are promoted at Cawthon such as homework club, music lessons and other activities that motivate students to do the best of their ability. My granddaughter feels that she has too much homework in fourth grade, but I say, "Hooray!" for the teachers. Homework is such an integral part of student learning. They retain much more information if it is reinforced through outside studies.

There is much more I could say about Cawthon. It is just the best in every aspect of student learning. Both of my children went on to college and felt they had a superior experience at all of their learning in the Cypress District. They felt they were well prepared for graduating to each new level of school.
