About the CST
What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of five ratings: far below basic, below basic, basic, proficient or advanced. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

What is it?
The California Achievement Test (CAT/6) is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons. The CAT/6 test is one of the five components of the STAR Program.

My son is now in Kindergarten and once again he has a great teacher that helps him with his ADHD, works with him at his level and my son just loves his classroom. All the events are very well organized and they always keep parents involve in every activity the school puts together. The new principle is very nice and the kids love him. This is an awsome school!!!!!! Thanks Flying Hills

Joana Soto: I have a five year old that attends Flying Hills and he absolutly loves his classroom, he has a great teacher Ms. Yvonne who is a great example and very loving to all the children.The staff there are great i love this school and will continue to take my child there till he graduates. I highly recommend this school to anyone i asure you will find this school to have a great enviroment and staff.

tabitha levy: This school is awesome! My daughter loves her school, her class and her teachers. I love how involved the parents are at this school, the PTA managed to fundraise in 1 school year, $40,000 + to get the school a brand new playground!!-- it got installed October 2007.
