We're a highly educated family (multiple graduate degrees from top universities) sending our children to Paul Ecke and hope others will stick with it, too. Excellent teachers are key. Bullying, etc., will happen everywhere, and it is unfortunate when someone feels they have been wronged. But don't be discouraged by an isolated poor review from a disgruntled parent that probably has determined to give up and go elsewhere.

laura: This school needs major adjusments starting from the principal to the office staff. I have seen many things at this school that I do not agree with. If you say something about it "nothing" is done. Most of the teachers are excellent teachers. In my opinion they need to hire a principal that cares about students and school. Office staff is rude to parents and verbally abusive to students.

susan slawson: Paul Ecke is a wonderful school. I know this because my grandchildren attend school there and they are happy and well adjusted and do well in school. We enjoy Grandparents Day and the Christmas program very much. Great job.

This school needs major improvements with their teachers and staff. I have seen many things that are unsatisfying to me. From gates left wide open where anyone could walk off with your children if they wanted to, no one being in the office and the staff all having lunch at the same time socializing with each other, the lack of safety in the drop-off/ pick up areas is a joke most people are so worried about getting a late slip from the office nazi that I'm amazed no student has been hit yet by a SUV yet, medicine being giving distributed not under CA state laws, and major bullying by the students on a daily basis & the teachers or staff looking the other way or worse not even dealing with it at al! If you have a serious problem, don't even bother taking it to the school or the district they have no intentions of helping your kids or you they seem more concerned with their paychecks and pensions. Also if you do say anything your child gets the brunt of it and now is the outcast...you are better off switching schools. I thought my child could donate time in the kindergarden area to get away from the severe ongoing bullying at recess (since the school had NO suggestions and cont. to let my child get bullied on a daily basis) but instead when helping out on the kindergarden playground area was called the F-word by a Kindergarden student who wasn't following playground rules. Needless to say, that student did not even get sent to the office and it wasn't the first time the same student has been an issue before. I went to this school as a child and had a wonderful time here and wanted my child to have the same. But so far I am not impressed with this school or their "sweeping under the rug" attitude! So far this school is a joke!
