About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Valley Arts & Science Academy (Vasa)'s test results to learn more about school performance.

Valley Arts & Science Academy (Vasa) Reviews
What success of the students? Does anyone do their research! They are doing worse than the public schools. You can find and compare test scores on sites like greater schools.org, vasa scored a 2/10
This is not a school that teaches to the test. It is a school whose very emphasis is in the arts and sciences - something that schools today are dropping due to state budget constraints. Although young and limited in campus size, what makes this a gem amongst the myriad of Fresno Unified Elementary Schools is it's innovative teaching approach, leadership and staff attentiveness to it's student body. I chose this school for my child over a private academically oriented school accross town. Our choice still stands. The quality of a school is expressed in the success of it's students.
