I think it was an OK school. I hated the lunches and most of the office staff including the lunch ladies. I left the year before the new principle came (the recent one) and things have changed alot for my little sister who still goes there. About 3 times, i found hair in my food that THEY make. My friends that did stay for 6th grade (unlike me and my other friends who went to Toll) had this big fight and none off the stay did anything. This certain girl had to leave school and be home schooled for the rest of her 6th grade year. It was sad and staff didn't do anything until AFTER everything so they weren't aware of anything what so ever. I think it's ok but I PERSONALLY didn't like it and I'm glad I went to Toll for y 6th grade year.

As far as education goes this school is fine. However, culturally and socially this school is HORRIBLE.

There is almost zero diversity at Balboa and students who are picked on for not being part of the majority get very little support from the faculty in those matters. I was even told that if I want my child to fit in I should enroll him in classes where he can learn to speak Armenian. The administrative staff has been unfriendly, unhelpful and even hostile at times and the lack of supervision after school is ridiculous. Children are allowed to wander out of the gates without anyone watching.
