About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Sierra Montessori Academy's test results to learn more about school performance.
In 2010, Sierra Montessori Academy had 17 students for every full-time equivalent teacher. The California average is 24 students per full-time equivalent teacher.

Sierra Montessori Academy Reviews
Love this small charter school!
My son was not enjoying school while enrolled at a local traditional public school. His transformation since enrolling at Sierra Montessori has been great to witness. He now looks forward to going to school, learning, is reading above grade level, and most of all LOVES his teacher, and it seems like she loves him. What a difference a caring, thoughtful staff makes to enhance a student's confidence & desire to learn.
