Bowman Elementary School Reviews
Bowman School I believe, is named after a Mr. Bowman who used to be on the School Board in the early 1940's. When he was on the board, I attended Valle Vista school with two of his sons, Bill and Ellis. At that time, I lived in Alta Vista (aka) "Okie Ville." The school was located on what used to be Niles Road, and the Principle was Ms. Pendergast. She had two sons, and if I remember correctly, their names were David and Jimmie. My teacher was Ms. Ismert. I'm now 82 years old, and I have a lot of memories of the old school. I have a class photo that sits on my desk, and I glance at it quite often. As I look at it, I wonder what happened to all of my classmates, and I wonder if they're still alive etc. I now live in Arizona, and I sometimes think about driving back to Valle Vista, just to drive by the old school. But then again, it's only a thought. . .
