Grace Lutheran School Reviews
I can't speak to the quality of the education at Grace, but we recently saw a group of their 8th grade students at a 9th grade visitation day at another school. After lunch, a large group of students got up and left their wrappers, bottles and other trash sitting on the ground. I thought they would come back and clean up, but they never did, nor did any of the adults with the group remind them to do so.
This is the best school in town. Please check it out if you are looking for a school for your children, preschool through 8th grade. My kids are receiving a fantastic education at Grace.
Grace is a great school! The administration is dedicated and works endlessly to meet the needs of the students, parents, and staff. My child is receiving a first rate education and is thriving.
I totally disagree with the parent above. I have three students in the school and the school is fantastic. My son tested into Geometry when he entered HS and is well prepared. I guess you just can't please everyone. I've had children in the school for over 9 years, the new administrator came on board a few years back and continues to make the school better. You will need to judge the school for yourself.
Grace has changed over the years. Used to feel like an extension of church, a ministry. Now it's like a business; very transparent that they want your money. As for education, my kids were mostly prepared to move on to higher grades but nothing out of the ordinary. And one child with mild problems couldn't get the little extra help needed despite the "resource specialist" (whatever that was!) whose position has changed. Middle school is a train wreck; teachers changing every year for the past few years. Primary grades are much better; no real complaints there except higher ratios than led to believe. Main problem for me was bad behavior of problem students is tolerated too much. Too many non-Christian families/students. Despite written standards and discipline system, not enforced. Felt more like public school than "Christian" school. If you're looking for strong conservative Christian values or edge to exceed in HS, go elsewhere.
