Walnut Park Elementary School Reviews
I attended this school in 1981 - (2nd grade) Mr. Perez was my teacher I remember he was from Panama great teacher and school. I read a book there about a boy who was sick in his bed and his mom told him to push a button (next to his bed) if needed something. When he pushed the button the bell didn’t sound, the button didn’t work. The boy was curious why the button didn’t work, so he took the cover off and noticed the wire was wrapped on the contact screw but the insulation was not peeled from the wire, so the metal part of the wire was not making good contact. Then he peeled the insulation and wrapped the wire on the screw to fix the button. This was the point when I became interested in how electricity works. Currently I am and engineer for a world class Japanese automotive manufacturer
