Reflecting on the wonderful education I've received in this great state...it started when my family arrived in California in the 1960s and I entered 8th grade at Piute. To this day I remember my favorite teachers and the kind people in the front office. Mr. Wayland taught math class, and I remember he announced to us after lunch one day that Pres Kennedy had been shot, and he wept. Music, history, home ec, typing class (imagine that!) it's funny the things you rememberl! We left Lancaster a few years later and I graduated from high school in San Diego, then received my B.A. at University of California Irvine. I look back on Piute with fondness and deep thanks for giving me the good ol' basic fundamentals which have anchored the rest of my life. Thanks Piute!

I think Piute is a wonderful school that offers an excelent education and I will never forget some of the wonderful teachers,students,experiences,and friendships that I had at Piute. Although now I'm in 10 grade at Lancaster High School "Home of the Eagles", I'll always be a "Warrior" at heart.
