Just read the negative review by an "Anonymous" parent. This is clearly written by either someone who did not get into the school or an angry past employee. The facts are completely wrong and I urge you to look into MP&MS for yourself if you are in the market for a great independent school for your family. The cost of the school is right in line or slightly below the other independent schools in Marin. Student attrition is very low (around 20 students out of over 330 students) and below average. Faculty turnover is also in the normal range with fantastic teachers. Graduates are successful in all the top high schools. I have three children. My son graduated 2 years ago and is doing very well (all A's) at a great independent school in San Francisco. My two girls are in 4th and 7th grades at MP&MS. All began in kindergarten and have loved every year at school. I can not say enough to praise the faculty and staff. The students are taught by a team of teachers that include Spanish, Art, Music, PE, Outdoor Education, Science, Projects Lab. Great school!

MP&MS Family of 7 Years
We have two kids at the school for the past seven years. There are so many families and teachers that have been at the school for years. The head of school, Julie Elam, is a strong educator that is warm and available who's been at the school for 3 years. You'll often find her at drop off greeting kids and parents. The parent body is strong with incredible community activity. The pedagogy at the school is very strong - with a broad curriculum and solid core subjects plus arts, music, projects lab, drama, physical education, Spanish, and so much more. My son is currently in sixth grade and is passionate about the two classroom teachers (male & female) and core classes have two team teachers. He loves to go to school. We have been impressed by the rigor in all subjects. The science and math are complimented by an out door education center and projects lab where the kids get hands on real life experiences. We had a real treat the last couple years attending the 8th grade graduation ceremonies. The graduates are kind, educated and passionate young men and women, that have gone to top-notch private and public schools. I have the highest accolades for the school. The after school athletics programs turns out many of the parents, teachers and staff. The plays that the drama department put together each year are amazing. This has been and continues to be a great investment in our children's future. A School worth checking out.
