See Downtown Value's test results to learn more about school performance.
A school's Academic Performance Index (API) is a scale that ranges from 200 to 1000 and is calculated from the school's performance in the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program. The state has set 800 as the API target for all schools to meet.

Teachers are always teaching and guiding students through some type of activity. Parents are required to complete 20 hours or they must help through donations. The hours for parent conferences and parent meetings count. The school has a very small and non-engaging playground. The students have activities after school but they have not won any trophies in sports. Administration and teachers are strict so there is rarelly any bullying going on. The school is pretty safe. I know my child is in advance math, I think they put all the student in a higher math program. I know my child was struggling at one point and the special education teacher, Ms. Jill was very helpful. I love this school and I am glad my child is there.

The staff and teachers at this school are strict but work very hard and have high expectations for students. My son and some of his friends ran the LA marathon, and he looks forward to going to school. I have walked through the hall ways of the school and I am amazed that kinder and first grade students are writing letters and essays within a few months after starting the school. The only thing I would change is that I wish the school was bigger.
