We LOVE THIS SCHOOL! Our daughter is excelling here. The parents are VERY involved, inside of the class, on the campus for special events, and with the bigger Echo Park community. My kindergardener is reading at a 2nd grade level. The Principal is a fantastic, energetic woman who is bringing back the 6th grade field trip to Catalina, supports the parent's involvement, and understands how to take this school to the next level. The enrichment programs are outstanding. We are extremely please with this school. The tree-lined campus is tucked away in beautiful and quiet part of Echo Park. It's truly a hidden treasure in the neighborhood!
Elysian Heights Elementary school is a Great school for our neighborhood children. The Teachers are great and involved with the kids and they care about how the kids are doing in school as well as their test scores. The parents need to be more involved with our school as well as helping out our teachers with the kids education. Elysian Heights Elementary can be an even GREATER school if we all help out and play apart in keeping our school and the kids engaged in their learning!
