About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Gertz-Ressler Academy High School's test results to learn more about school performance.

Gertz-Ressler Academy High School Reviews
We, here at 24th Street Theatre, LOVE the G/R students! We've been working with Ms. Berkowitz's theatre classes this year and are so impressed with the talent of the G/R students! We've been offering FREE tickets to the G/R students too and they seem to have a real appetite for the arts! We work with literally hundreds of schools in L.A., but to have a long-term relationship with the school right across the street from us...priceless.
