Rick: Mayberry Street Elementary School is a diamond in a field of coals. Never knew they have a Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten program and they have been here in the 90026 area for the longest time. I tried searching for a program for my daughter for the past 3 months, registering to two different schools and finding out we are ineligible for their program due to income base criteria’s. We just participated in a parent/child orientation with the teachers and I feel relieved and confident, we made the right choice in landing in this school. We love our daughter’s teachers and how organized and structured the curriculum and staff. The school is super clean and love that is really close by to our home. I love that this program is public and not tied to a state program that hinders parents based on income. This program is perfect and could not ask for anything more. Not a whole lot of people know about their Preschool program and currently still have lots of room for more students. Actually if you do an internet search, Mayberry does not pop up for preschools. I just happen to find out they have a program by calling the principal and asking if she knew any other programs nearby the area, and thank God they just happen to have one. So for those who are panicking and still looking for a perfect public preschool program, I strongly recommend and want to make sure everybody knows about Mayberry Street Elementary School’s Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten!

Great school! There is more to a learning environment than test scores. This school's API and AYP are good, but what makes this school better is the commitment of staff to our students. The Principal is extraordinary in the fact that she is so visible to all parents, always is available to listen to our concerns/ideas. She knows each and every child and is outside each morning and afternoon at the gate! Teaching staff is exceptional for the most part, office staff kind and welcoming. School is spotless!
