In 2010, the Los Angeles Unified School District spent $11,386 per student. In 2010 the district spent 58% on instruction, 38% on support services, and 4% on other services.
The school's scores improved but that should not be a surprise. The school was not growing anymore. We knew our children could do better but at what cost. They took our parent center away and are going to make a lot of money. I pray that they use the money on our kids. They don't allow us into the school anymore. Really bad letting us know what is going on at school. At least old Santa Monica Boulevard Community Center School used to invite us to the board meetings. I am not a happy parent.
I personally love this school, friendly teachers and staff. Everyone shows a geniune care for the kids. I specially want to say Ms. Mendez is absolutely wonderful. She's an amazing teacher, my son has excelled in her class! He's in Kinder reading at a first grade level and math too!!
i hate this school. the teachers were so bad and did not even care about the kids. they made me believe that school was not for me. i hated it. they made my childhood years terrible. tham i went to woodland hills middle school and high school and i loved it. Graduated with honers and now in a 4 year college.
