We are very happy with RHMS. Our daughter received near-perfect scores on the private school entrance exams after being well-prepared at RHMS. She was accepted at all private schools where she applied and is doing excellent following her education at RHMS in grades 6-8. THANK YOU TO HER EXCELLENT TEACHERS!

Rolling Hills Middle School
My son was in 6th grade last year but also as the above comment says, my son was also attacked on several occasions. He was told by the attackers that if he were to tell, the attackers would kill him. These boys also carry knife or knives to the school.

Rolling Hills Middle School
I am a parent of 3 children at RHMS, my oldest is in HS now. I know of several parents in the district that want to send their kids to RHMS due to their focus on academics but are declined (one of the top API scores in the district). What I have noticed is that kids that want to learn and put in the time required do very well, I am proud to say that last year my 7th grader got a perfect score on the math portion and scored very high on the other subjects as well while also playing soccer, volleyball and basketball (4.0 GPA since 5th grade). I also have a 5th grader now and she is doing very well as well. I am extremely happy and pleased with the school's academic record and zero tolerance for misbehavior.

Rolling Hills Middle School
My son ended up dropping out of RHMS in 7th grade. We found at least 50 other families whose children had dropped out of school due to poor experiences at this school. My son was attacked repeatedly. His grades dropped. His time at this school was a disaster. Avoid this school like the plague!

About the CST
What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of five ratings: far below basic, below basic, basic, proficient or advanced. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

What is it?
The California Achievement Test (CAT/6) is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons. The CAT/6 test is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
