Beware of the Stratford Shools' administration's harsh practices and policies. I have sent my children to Stratford School in Los Gatos the last 4 years. We have been happy with the school and it's curriculum. We have been good parents. We paid in full and in advance every year with no issues. My wife and I also contributed our time and money (over $1000) outside of tuition to make the school a better place for all children in their class. Unfortunately my job location changed in the late summer and I notified Stratford the same day I found out about my job change. I paid my tuition in full in the early summer and they would not refund the full tuition I paid. They are still holding on to nearly $5000 of my hard earned money just because they can. I understand when parents change their mind and send their kids to another school in the area but in this case I had to move my family across the country. I escalated all the way to the President and Senior Vice President/Co-founder of Stratford School. They were unhelpful and in some cases non-responsive to my communications. They unfortunately would not budge and are still sitting on my money. The teachers are great and my daughters earned a good education. Unfortunately the administration has no ability to exercise proper judgement and make exceptions for parents in unusual circumstances or for parents who have contributed in a very positive way to their school. All they could say was "I'm sorry" as they are rolling in this windfall of money. The administration is ungrateful and will be happy to penalize you and take your money. My daughters didn't even attend one day of school at their campus this year! I am returning to the area in 3 years and they have now lost my business. My daughters will earn an excellent education else where. Please feel free to ping me if you would like to learn more.
