Joshua Cowell Elementary School Reviews
Being parents and also a grandparents and having an association with Joshua Cowell School for several years, we could not be happier with the teachers and the administration at this school. The principal, Mrs. Bennett, goes above and beyond in fairness, in doing all she can to encourage her staff, students and also parents. We feel that this school, is a great place for students to learn. The entire staff, seems to work in a cohesive manner to keep learning first and foremost and they seem to use innovative ways of keeping students, first interested and then engaged in what is being taught. We think that Joshua Cowell School is very fortunate to have such great leadership in their administration and although it's grandchildren for us now, we will continue to keep abreast of their school education and activites and help with whatever we can when needed.
Keep your kids away from this place i have attended that school and I'm glad it is over it was like a nightmare. The school has a poor choice in Jr.high teachers I feel terrible that future kids must put up with these sad excuses of teachers.
My daughter -Aliyah..has been attending Joshua Cowell for Kindergarden and First Grade.. I'm impressed with the teacher, I was original skeptical about keeping her at Joshua Cowell, because of the other children's work I've seen; however, I'm impressed with the strides Mrs. Stewart (who recently retired) and her replacement Miss Gerial had done. Although my daughter learns extremely quickly, the simple fact that she is now reading after four months of first grade has her on a good track for second grade.. BTW: I have Degree Computer Science & Math, just in case your wondering what type of judge i can be of a school :).
joshua cowell has very great teachers in 2010 ,also the yard duties are very mean and make no points about changing the rules to stop playing everything we love including tag, and we need more food choices
very bad yard duties, great teachers, bad food, very cheap, recess is about only 15-20 mins. long, needs new playground and balls and sports equipment
