Kathryn Bennett: I love this school!....I love the fact that half of the day is in English and the rest is in Spanish...the teachers are very nice, and on top of all that I feel that this school might be the most SAFEST school I have ever seen. There is just one major problem their Communication!! They are very bad at telling you when things happen...For Ex: My son hurt himself on the playground he was sent to the office to see the nurse and then shortly after he was sent back to class. No one called me like they should have. No note, no nothing!! I pick him up and find out that part of his tooth is missing...you would think that they would have seen that. They don't tell you everything a parent would/should like to know. Other schools write notes, call you, or verbally tell you when things happen and unfortunately this school does NONE of the above. We are moving not because of the school but if we did stay in the area we would of moved my son out. Communication to me is so important and I would have chosen another school just based on the fact that for their communication they earn a 0!

What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
