i sat in class with my son and the teaching skills are awfull, they get 10 min per subject plus the teacher doesn't even take the time to give them any hands on time. then they just give them homework and expect them to know how to do it when they get home. then they wonder why these kids are failing their class. the staff is very rude. the principle mrs. moser doesn't care about the student, i have first hand experience with her and my child. I you child isn't special needs or don't have an I E P they are quick to put them on half day school or they want to put them in alternative school. now is this the kind of school we want our children at. this is the worst school my children have ever been to

Tom Tanioka: I've only seen this school through the Challenger Learning Center's participation in their Family Science Nights and their teachers involved with our GEMS Nspires grant program. What I've seen is a lot of energy and enthusiasm directed towards getting students excited about science. The students and parents who have shared our Discovery Dome have been fantastic. So based on these experiences, I rate this school 5 stars!

Farmdale elementary is a very fake school. Most staff are all very rude. MOST yard duties are all extremely aggressive and loud with the students.The teachers do not communicate with the parents. My personal experience that i had with my kids teacher is when i asked why the teacher was dismissing children at 3:00 if in fact they got out at 2:35.....instead of a reply i received her hanging up. I called immediately after i was hung up on. and asked to speak to "the person in Charge of a matter like this" when i started to explain what had happened this person was already siding with the teacher and making excuses for why she might had hung up even though she had not spoke YET to the teacher regarding this incident...I was not rude nor did i ask the question in a rude way. It seems to me that the staff cover up alot of things that are negative in their part...There were alot more incidents I had along with fellow parents...This school learning has no tutor program or after school program..For assistance in certain subjects your children would have to make time with their teacher for extra help which was very minimal...

It was in 2008 on a rainy day when I saw the principle of farmdale elementary standing in the rain, drenched from head to toe greeting her students in the morning when I realized that my son was in the best school in Merced....The farmdale staff are the greatest group of profesionals out there....They care about there students...they make their students feel safe and the parents feel greatfull...I am a former teacher my self and am very pleased with the hard work and dedication they have put into my sons education...Science Night and Culture Night will be great memories for my son as well as the Friday flag salute with Max.....My son is now going to the 2nd grade and on his 3rd year as a Fox...we could not be happier.... GO Fox's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Farmdale School is a great place to be. Teachers go well beyond any and all expectations to serve our children. Farmdale is new and has wonderful staff that make it a great place to be. The dedication of staff at Farmdale cannot be matched at any other school in the State. 4th and 5th graders even get 45 minutes of time set aside for Physical Education EVERY DAY. Can you find this in any other district (for this grade level)? We all know how important health & exercise is these days.
