Elisia: The school is fine but, my son's teacher should a different profession that does not involve teaching children. I get the feeling maybe she is racing another teacher of the same grade with the amount of time gives a student to learn a problem and then actually be tested on it one day later. My son is a fourth grader, he needs time to see the problem done so it can sink in and then at least have a day or two of practice doing them so he will remember the steps of a new math problem. If there is a different type of math problem being taught almost everyday sometimes two, then it can become overwhelming and scary testing on fractions, decimals, percentages, ect... that he has never even worked with before.
I tend to get really upset when my son has been tested on a problem I have never even seen him bring home for homework before or even on a corrected paper until after the test has been flunked. This is when she teaches and test on a new problem the same day. I see everything my son brings home to work on and spend hours every week to help him. Especially when sufficient time has been given for him to remember so many different concepts. Anyway, I really want to know what book or workbook he given homework and taught out of so that my son will never be cheated out of having a little practice work time. God Bless All. Elisia
