Frustrated Parent: I thought that this was going to be a great school to send my child to...boy was I wrong! This was my childs first year in Middle School and I am praying that this experience will not be a permanent scar as he moves further along in his education. I can only express what I know from my own personal experience. I wasn't happy with how the teachers handled the 6th graders transition from elementary to middle school and I feel that this set the stage for failure with my child who went from having top grades to barely passing his classes. There are times when I wonder if the homework assignments that are given to the students are even reviewed in class because I'm having to teach my child at home...where's my check LAUSD? I have not been happy with the teachers, office staff and higher administration. There really isn't anyone there to talk to when you need help and there is very little supervision on the campus so there seems to be alot of bullying by upper classmates. I really don't know what to do at this point.

Unhappy Parent: I can't wait for my children to graduate in June. This school is awful! Rude, inconsiderate staff. Some really bad teachers who scream at the students and fail to communicate/respond to parents. And if your child has an IEP, forget it - they don't comply with them at all!

What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
