Oakland Progressive Daycare Reviews
I don't know where to begin to describe the positive lessons we, as a family, experienced at Oakland Progressive Day Care Preschool, affectionately known as "Beatie Street". Besides supporting a multicultural, multilingual curriculum for their charges, Beatie Street is multi-class and is supportive of alternative life style families, providing a nurturing environment for kids and families. As parents we want a safe, structured environment where our kids can engage in the world around them under the supervision of wonderful, kindly and accepting people. The director, Judith Kahn, together with her associate teacher, Winnie, are exactly that: absolutely patient, knowledgeable and loving people. I felt good leaving my son there for the program and for the play he needed as a young pre-K kiddie. Along with teaching him pre-school skills, Judy and Winnie taught and reinforced parenting skills as well. To join Beatie Street is truly to become part of an intimate community for life. Although my son is now 20 years old, we remain in contact with the school, Judy and the kids. If you want to experience a true "Jewel in the Crown" of the East Bay, this is it. Our kids remain small for just a short period of time. Oakland Progressive Day Preschool will surely fill your child's day with wonder and fun, giving you peace of mind that your child is in the best of all worlds.
