Westlake Middle School Reviews
Westlake Middle School, overall has excellent experienced teachers. There is a dynamic teacher, that received "Teacher of the Year Award in Science", that who encouraged my child to love science. An outstanding music teacher, that teaches Advance Band, Beginning Band, Strings and Guitar. An English teacher, who my child talks about daily, that show a strong passion and concern for her student's learning. In addition, Westlake has outstanding and enthusiastic leadership that welcomes the community and communicates well with parents/students. The principal demonstrates a strong passion for school excellence. The special education programs are very good, however, the severely disabled students need to be included more with general ed at lunch etc.. They have counseling support and after school programs for students that need it. They encourage parents to be part of the PTA have an active voice in the school. Although, there are some challenges ahead, they are progressing in the right direction.
