otherperson: Now to the concerned parent comment: I believe that yes that school may have those problems about drugs, bullying, distractions, etc. However these problems also happen to occur in other schools yet they are trying their best to minimize it. I'm not saying that this school isn't doing the same but I have just not seen any improvements. A teacher job is to teach, encourage and make their students feel safe. That's my definition of what a teacher job is. Sorry if your opinion differs.

a concerned parent: the teachers have a big task ahead of them. there are  some kids who want to learn.......but.are so distracted by other who think it is better to be POPULAR than learn and then some student think it is BIG of them to go around beating up others......there is a great part of the school who feel POT AND OTHERS DRUgs are MAKING THEM SMART.how can anyone teach or learn in thAT KIND O F eviornment. it is not a school. IT is ANOTHER JUVENILE FACILITY. it is not the teACHER Fault YOUR kid doesnot learn..go to some of YOUR KIDS CLASSES AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING.  DO NOT BE SURPRISED.

The classes are boring. The teachers give a lot of classwork that doesn't count much in the grade book. I am basically being self taught. When I am confuse and ask questions, I get questions back. When my questions aren't answered, I have to go online to look for answers. For example, when I don't understand how to solve a math problem; I hit the internet. Isn't this defeating the point of having a teacher?

Some teachers aren't even teaching their students properly. Many students have confessed that they don't understand the materials being taught. I am worried that the students of Las Plumas will be left behind in their generation. I was told that some teachers are helping some of their poorly performed students drop from their classes. Yes, I understand that the class might be too advance but that is the purpose; to challenge them.
