Canterbury Avenue Elementary School Reviews
I attened Canterbury Ave. School.. I lived on Montague st. just east of the school. My 3rd grad teacher was Mrs. Gilooly. I rember her as if it were yesterday. This was back in 1963 I was in the 2nd grade. She was the only teacher I had at the school, because we moved to North Hills (formerly Sepulveda) and finished grammar school at Mayall elementary. Mrs. Gilooly taught me how to handwrite and from there I got into Calligrapy, I will never forget her.
This school will definitely leave a great impact on your child. I graduated about 13 years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. My teachers were very dedicated, and I'm glad to see that some of them are still there. Amazing school with a great atmosphere!
I love this school a lot , I graduated 7 years ago, and now I'm a senior in high school... I've learned a lot from this school Ive also learned good benefits, that helped me successed through out my years in school!
my son attend this school, and we like it very much.teachers are very educated and very carefull i like this school very much
I, personally love this school, the staff, Sharon, teachers, coaches LA'S Best Program and the education the highly gifted children obtain. My son, Szeahun loves his classmates and never ever has he complained about school. He actually wakes up and is excited about another day at to be with his friends. In the two years he has been there, he has not been absent except for 1 day..........That's only because he was extremely ill.
I went to this elementary school since kinder till half of fifth grade when my family and i had to move to houston, texas. I have so many great memories there! i had the best teachers i wish i can go back and visit them.. I LOVE CANTERBURY!!
Both my sons attend Canterbury Elementary, 1 in 3rd grade Magnet and my youngest started kindergarten this year. I love this school because the teachers really do care about the kids. The Magnet program is amazing. They learn arts, music and go on many fieldtrips to assist in their curliculum. The office staff is always helpful and greets me with a warm welcome. Principal Rodriguez is very compassionate with the students and their parents. I am very lucky to have my boys happy and learning...and teaching me a few things here and there along the way.
I attended Canterbury Magnet from K-2nd grade from 1990-1993 and while it was a long time ago I remember getting a very good education there. I would love to go back and see if my teachers still work there....Mrs. Conway and Mrs. Mori I remember very well. I work with kids now and hope that our program makes as big an impact as canterbury had on me ;)
