This school is so wonderful. The curriculum is so engaging. My child comes home every day so happy. There is no pressure at this school, yet my son is learning more than ever. Each child is allowed to progress at his own pace in each subject. The multi-disciplinary approach truly enhances the learning experience. Students are explorers, scientists, writers, mathematicians and artists at this school.

Audrey N.: My child has been at Friends Western school (FWS) for a year now and we have been so happy here. Students are exposed to many great educational and physical activities, such as Yoga, Hiking, Cooking, Art classes, and scientific experiments. The curriculum is planned in such way that makes learning really fun and enriching. Their multiple intelligence cirriculum exposes children to the each of the subject in so many levels. I could not believe my ears when my 6 year old, who usually has a very short attention spans, came home and explain the Civil Wars to me and ask if we could go to the library to get more books on this subject. I feel that this teaching/learning method creates a true understanding of each subject beyond the traditional memorization sort of lesson. The weekly hike, outdoor education, and gardening also spark his appreciation and respect for nature. It is wonderful to see this. What also sets the school apart is the small ratio of teacher and student. It amazes me how much my child's teacher knows about him and how much he appreciates and notices that. I can go on and on about things I love about this school. I really wish that every children get to have an educational experience like this.
