Donna Napolitano: I am a former student of Pleasnt Valley I attended the 8th grade in 1980 I had two teachers Mr. Krapfel and Mr. Shaw. These teachers were the most influential people in my whole life. I didnt realize at the time how much they would be missed after I left that school but I have to admit that Mr. Shaw told me that one day I would want to come back and thank him I denied that would ever happen but How right he really was. I live in Las Vegas Nevada now and I so wish that I could talk to him now and let him know that he was sooo right I am truly thankful for there encouragement and support I recieved even as I was the class hoodlum class clown all around nusance but they saw threw me and becouse of there warmth and caring for myself as well as my fellow student I am a better person. I will allways be thankful for them THANK YOU VERY MUCH

What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
