Mrs. Sanchez: I have four kids, and my youngest two go to Heritage.  I have experienced many schools as a parent and also as a substitute teacher.  My kids have attended schools in the Santa Ana, Etiwanda, Adelanto and Snowline School Districts.  I have worked for the Apple Valley, Adelanto and Snowline School Districts.  Heritage is BY FAR the BEST school I have ever come in contact with.  The teachers are there for the right reasons (they actually love the kids & want to teach), the administration is supportive, and all of the parents are involved.  The atmosphere is safe and feels almost like a family.  They do expect excellent behavior, and there is a lot expected of the students.  I feel that students rise to the expectation level that you have for them.  There is a lot of homework, but it is reinforcing what they have learned in school, and their scores speak for themselves.  There's a reason Heritage scores so high.  Parents are allowed to walk in a classroom at ANY time.  Whereas at other districts, I have been told I have to give them 24 hours notice to visit my child's classroom (which I didn't agree with considering I felt like my child was not being treated well by her teacher, and I wanted an element of surprise).

I think this school has to many rules and doesn't allow the kids to express themselves enough. Kids need to feel like they are trusted and this school doesn't give them that posotive feeling. Also, this school give out almost 50% more homework than any other Snowline school.
