Pinole Valley High School is an average school, that excels at extracurricular activities but lacks parent involvement and safe environment . Compared to other school like El Cerrito, Kennedy, Richmond, De Anza, etc. its a pretty good school. There is quite some violence at this school , the police helps but there's only so much 2 cops can do against like 8 kids fighting... But the kids who stay out of trouble and hangout with the right people, and put extra effort into their classes do very good later on. Personally I haven't had that much trouble with staff, there are some teachers that aren't likable but if you ask them for most will help you out ...
