Woodland School Reviews
If you are considering Woodland school in Portola Valley (http://www.woodland-school.org), you should be aware of the fact that you will have to sign an ironclad contract and if for ANY personal or financial reasons your kids are unable to attend school or move out of area, you will have to pay the entire school year’s tuition all at once!!
Our lives were destroyed by Woodland Head of School and Woodland board of trustee chairman demanded the full year tuition all at once even though we notified school in writing to cancel prior to school starting and have not received any services whatsoever. We have come to know that this model of deceiving parents has been going on for years since they have an “insurance” company which they enroll the children automatically and attempt to collect money even though no services have been provided.
If you are still considering Woodland school, please make sure to read the fine lines and consult and attorney because you will need it dealing with Woodland School!! This school portrays itself as a nonprofit organization however their #1 objective is to generate financial profit instead of consider children and family’s well-being so they can cover their school’s expansion. Our family has been stressed, kids crying at nights and everyone constantly harassed by Woodland school by phone, email and postal mail.

Great community, challenging academics.
My daughter attends preschool at Woodland School. The curriculum provides a nice balance between academics and play. The teachers are wonderful with the children. Since Woodland teaches preschool through grade 8, the younger children can benefit from extra-curricular activities like piano lessons or group soccer lessons that you would not find at other preschools.
