Our son started first grade at Redeemer Lutheran this year and we have been really impressed so far.  His teacher is kind and fun but is still able to maintain order in the classroom and make sure everyone gets the attention they need.  She really took time to get to know our son before school by visiting our home and she's doing a lot to make sure his strengths are celebrated and that he's challenged where he needs to be challenged.

The entire community of the school is wonderful.  The parents are all very involved (there are mandatory working hours for each family).  There are lots of social events, play dates, and other opportunities for the families to get to know each other out side of school hours.

The principal Mr. Mancini not only knows every kid at the school by name, but also knows what's happening in their lives at school and at home.  He doesn't just say "hello" to the kids, he says "How'd that spelling test go?" or "How's your new baby sister doing?".  Like our son's teacher, Mr. Mancini is able to really connect with kids but also maintains order and makes sure everyone's following the rules.

This is a very loving and warm environment for kids.

The only downside we've seen so far is that there isn't much outside space.  The indoor facilities are new and beautiful but there isn't a playground on the property so the kids have recess on the blacktop.  There are lots of great playgrounds nearby so we just make sure to visit them after school whenever we can so my son gets in enough playground time.

I highly recommend this school.

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
